Anna's Hummingbird - female, Calypte anna

We are really amateur birdwatchers, but avid photographers. A hummingbird built her nest outside our dining room window here in San Diego. We have been observing her and her eggs/babies for a few weeks. The male who occasionally comes by has a nice red throat. These babies are about 10 days old. This is our best picture so far. The picture was taken February 7, 1999 with a 300 mm lens using Kodak Gold 200 ASA film, aperture and speed unrecorded.
